Handprint Fish

Turn messy painty hands into cute handprint fish art!Handprint Fish - turn toddler painty hands into art!

Every time we do any finger painting, I always try and catch a couple of handprints – useful for clearing off excess paint if nothing else! As my son is quite young I usually try and get the prints on a separate piece of paper, then cut it out and mount it onto card. As he gets older we’ll do complete artworks.

These fish can be decorated with googly eyes, glitter pens, or sequins, and details can be drawn in with a marker pen. I *love* adding googly eyes – it seems to instantly make the fish full of character. I even wrote a whole blog post all about googly eyes!

Here are some handprint variations:

Red and blue fish made with lots of handprints!

We made this multi-coloured fish after a fun painting session! I think it is my favourite!
