We made these personalised wall art gifts using the tape-resist method. It is so easy, even for the youngest tots!

Thank you!I am very excited to be taking part in the 100 Days of Play challenge hosted by Sun Scholars and Life at the Zoo! We have tried this simple and effective form of producing wall art here, but this is an updated and enhanced version.
For a recent trip back to the UK, F and I made these to give to his cousins. We used canvas panels which are great for packing in a suitcase! Where possible we tried to find out the favourite colours of the children. We were very fortunate in that they all had short names!
I taped out the children’s names onto the canvas panels using painter’s tape. Then F painted over the tape – we started off by using a couple of simple color combinations: pink and red, green and yellow.

Then I removed the tape.

F’s cousins really loved them!
