We have been focusing on so many other things recently that we haven’t really worked on my son’s fine motor skills. So I decided to put together a set of cutting practice printables that he would enjoy – which meant they had a train theme!

Once you have downloaded and printed the worksheets, provide your child with kid-friendly scissors and the worksheets – either let them choose or provide one at a time. There are three to choose from!
My son immediately decided to start with the long track for the high speed train to get to the ship at the dock. I thought this was actually the hardest of the worksheets as he kept having to cut in different directions when the train turned the corner.
But he succeeded and moved on to the easier “get the train to the station” worksheet.
He decided to leave the train signs to the next day.

I was quite happy with how he cut everything – and was VERY pleased that he really wanted to do them. There are so many printable cutting worksheets around – many of which I have pinned to my Fine Motor Play Pinterest Board. Make sure you check it out and get printing!
