My 5 year old son LOVES robots right now! Cardboard box, mesh laundry hampers – they all get made into robot costumes. We’ve even had family meals where we’ve all had to speak in robot-style!
So of course we had GREAT fun with these dress-up items from Aeromax! First up is this colorful Robot Helmet!
It is officially suitable for ages 3-10. It features a movable visor and rotating antennae. My son liked that it wasn’t a snug fit – he could get it on and off easily (and he has a big head for a 5 year old!).
He loved pretending to be a robot – with stiff bent arms and saying “beep” a lot!
Or how about this Robot Engineer Shirt?
It is super easy for kids to get on and off as it just has three Velcro fastenings at the front. The shirt is super colorful and even has a clear pocket at the front so that your child can add their name and personalize it! The shirt is suitable for most kids aged 3-6 and can be machine washed and tumble dried!
I set up a robot engineer activity for my son, using a fabulous free printable from Create in the Chaos. I challenged my son to wear his new shirt and create the coolest robot EVER using the printable plus some nuts and washers. He used fun metallic markers to create his robot!
I love the finished robot!
We have had so much fun with these two pieces of dress-up kit; they’d be perfect for a Halloween costume or for any preschool pretend play area.
