Easter Egg Fine Motor Fun with Pompoms

Our activity for Fine Motor Fridays this week works on color matching, sorting and fine motor skills, combined with some lovely bright spring colors!

The following post contains affiliate links, which means that at no extra cost to you I can make a tiny bit of money to help support this blog. Thank you!

For this activity we used:

  • 2 containers
  • 1 small bowl
  • Plastic hinged easter eggs
  • Tweezers (we used loop-ended tweezers from our Tongs and Tweezer Training)
  • Pom poms

The aim of this game is to pick up a pompom with the tweezers, put it in a plastic egg of the same colour, close the egg and put it into another container.

F really got into this activity – he particularly loves those blue tweezers so I had hoped he would enjoy it! Although he didn’t use the tweezers every single time, he did match the colours up perfectly.Easter Egg Fine Motor Fun with Pompoms

Closing the eggs was surprisingly tricky, which is why I had included this as part of the game rather than opening them.Easter Egg Fine Motor Fun with Pompoms

But he did manage it each time without help, and quietly sat there until all the eggs had been filled! Look out for some more Easter-themed fine motor skills activities from us over the next few weeks!
