Christmas Tree and Ornament Art for Toddlers

We celebrated the arrival of our Christmas tree by using one of the trimmed branches to paint with. Then we made some ornament art to go with it!

F dipped the branch into the paint and created some lovely patterns across the paper – it all happened so fast I didn’t get a photo of him doing it!

Then we made a collage on some white cardstock with some cut-up pieces of metallic paper.

F dabbed some glue onto the paper then added the paper pieces. The shiny paper looked amazing!

After everything had dried I cut four circles out of the shiny collage, attached some silver thread to them, and glued the thread to the tree print to look like ornaments. The ornaments hung loose from the main picture so they were able to move freely – this meant that they caught the light really well – almost like a mirror ball ornament!
