Do your kids love the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? My son received a toy Leonardo on his birthday recently and he loves it! There’s also a new movie coming out which I know he would enjoy: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
I recently bought my son some State Fair® Mini Corn Dogs and Tyson® Chicken Nuggets. They are great quality, so simple to prepare, and an easy way for my son to eat more protein.
I really wanted to make a fun dip to go with the snacks. With the TMNT in mind, I decided to make a cheese dip – but make it green! Green cheese dip would totally look like “ooze”!
Ingredients:
- 4 oz reduced fat cream cheese
- ¼ cup reduced fat mayonnaise
- ½ cup shredded cheese (I used an Italian blend)
- Green and yellow food dye
Add the cream cheese, mayo and shredded cheese to a saucepan.
Place over a low heat and stir until fully melted and a sauce has formed.
Add a few drops of green dye and check for color. Depending on the color of your cheese, you may also need to add some yellow dye to get “Turtle” green.
Keep the sauce warm while you prepare the chicken nuggets and mini corn dogs – they can be heated in the microwave in just a few minutes. So easy!
Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl, and arrange everything on a platter.
This cheese dip for kids will definitely get them in the mood to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows!
