Above everything else that my five-year old is learning about right now – there are two things that stand out: learning to read and learning about the solar system. So I made this fun word cloud to see what he would do with it. I think the detail and different font sizes make it really inviting.
I’ve made the printable in two versions – one in blue and one in green/orange/purple. They’re both available for FREE from my Craftulate.
Download the word clouds and print them onto white card. You might like to laminate them if they are going to get repeated use.
Ways to play and learn with this word cloud printable:
- Practice reading – let your child simply enjoy the words
- Word hunt – challenge your child to find a specific word as quickly as possible
- Talk about what all the words mean. Your child might like to draw pictures of them!
- Word count – write out a list of the words found (you can do this or your child!), then count how many times each word can be found. This would be a great way to practice making tally marks!
Don’t forget to download your free printable!
